MDG Reflections
The Diocesan MDG Committee is collecting 1-2 page reflections about the work that you all have done or are doing on issues of global poverty. Those of you who have spent some time in some place where you witnessed what extreme poverty is and have worked to alleviate it through your actions, the Committee is putting together a compilation of reflections about those experiences. We are not looking for a dry recitation of facts and figures, but rather how did your travel or work affect you? Did it change your life, your way of looking at the world around you?
The goal is to put these reflections together into a booklet for distribution throughout the Diocese and included on the MDG website. We who have seen the poverty and shared in the lives affected by it, know why the Millennium Development Goals are so important, and we need to share those stories. With all the other cares of the world, and as all struggle with a poor economy and so many other issues, it is easy to forget about others living in those far away places. This would be one way to tell the stories of why the MDGs are important... both for ourselves and for those we have worked with.
We would like to have this ready for distribution by October. Thanks in advance for your help with this project. You can email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
